Christmas is considered to be the time of a great joy filled with beautiful celebrations, delicious indulgence, and a peaceful atmosphere, but in reality, for most people, it is also one of the most hectic, stressful and emotionally draining times of the year. Why? Well most probably because of the overwhelming pressure to fulfill great hopes and insanely high expectations of this special time of the year most of us have. We put so much work in creating a cozy family atmosphere filled with unique presents, delicious food and family traditions that we’re too mentally and physically drained to actually enjoy the Holiday season. That’s insane! We’re focused so much on making these couple of days beautiful, cherished and memorable that we completely forget that Christmas should be about a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere free from stress, overwhelming pressure, and questionable financial decisions to regret later on. Christmas is not only about showing your loved ones you genuinely care about them but also about taking care of yourself while you do that. So don’t forget to take good care of yourself during the holiday season! Take some time for yourself during the Holiday season and engage in self-care practices that will help you not only cope with Christmas anxiety but also boost your health and wellbeing.
What’s your excuse for not working out? Are you too tired? You can’t afford a gym membership? You’re struggle with motivation? Or maybe you’re too busy to work out. Well, me too. I build a workout routine that I love and now I don’t have any excuses for not working out. And you know what? Since then I am healthier, happier and my posture drastically improved. Thank goodness… I was beginning to look more like homo computerus than a typical homo sapiens.
It’s not a secret that sedetary lifestyle is literally killing us. Physical inactivity has been scientifically proven to be a leading cause for many chronic or even terminal diseases. So why risk so much?
We’re not designed to sit in front of the computer all day every day. Physical inactivity makes us anxious, depressed, obese and just sick.
Have you ever noticed how good and energetic even a little physical activity makes you feel? It’s because during exercise our body releases endorphins and increases dopamine and serotonin levels. Avoid sedetary lifestyle at all costs. Optimize your schedule, improve your daily rotuine and make space for more physical activity!
Depression comes in very shapes and forms and it affects each individual differently. Most of my friends who struggle with depression say that it comes and goes in cycles. When I was experiencing depression it was coming in waves. Sometimes it came in slow, small waves and other moments, it hit like a tsunami ruining everything in its path.

We create our storytelling that directly affects our state of mind and personal well-being. Which basically means that stories and narratives we make up to describe what we perceive through our five senses can trigger pleasant emotions like joy or happiness or unpleasant emotions like anger, fear or sadness. As pleasant emotions tend to do no harm even if they have nothing to do with the real situation (the present moment) the trouble starts when your dramatic storytelling causes negative emotions that create suffering that wasn’t even there at the beginning. Sounds crazy right?
