We create our storytelling that directly affects our state of mind and personal well-being. Which basically means that stories and narratives we make up to describe what we perceive through our five senses can trigger pleasant emotions like joy or happiness or unpleasant emotions like anger, fear or sadness. As pleasant emotions tend to do no harm even if they have nothing to do with the real situation (the present moment) the trouble starts when your dramatic storytelling causes negative emotions that create suffering that wasn’t even there at the beginning. Sounds crazy right?
Coping with anxiety while traveling is quite challenging but it can be done in a healthy and effective way. Mindful spending means having control over your spending and make rational purchases. Let’s face it, the temptation is everywhere. Advertising manipulates our purchase choices and spending habits just like marketers compete to create artificial needs that have to be fulfilled immediately and at any costs which only encourages us to mindlessly spend our money. The easiest way to avoid that is to take a deep breath, think about if you really need this product or service and how it will make your life easier and more comfortable. And then ask yourself if you really want to buy it. Be attentive. Be in control.
I don’t believe in creating a permanent life balance that nothing, absolutely nothing can interfere. I think that life is very much a constant balancing act, a sum of rises and falls, ups and downs, stumbles and missteps, failures and fresh starts. Failure is inevitable but if it is followed by improvement it becomes a part of the learning process. So stop counting up your failures because they don’t define you. Learn from them. Grow as a person. Rise up each time you fall and start the process over again. Keep building towards your dreams. Accept what you cannot control and move forward despite the obstacles. Life is hard. But hey no one said it would be easy. You have to fail to learn your lesson.
Well, the struggle is real. Considering the fact that life didn’t come with an instruction manual and you cannot be 100% sure what is the best choice before you actually make it you have every right to feel overwhelmed, confused and heartbroken… But only for a little while because once this all calms down it’s time to step up, embrace the creator role, regain control and take your life back once again.

Maybe you were not able to pass an important exam and now you have to wait an entire year for another chance… Well, that sucks… a bit… But hey, the fact that the things didn’t work out as planned does not mean that you are a failure! Sometimes it’s hard to believe that bad even bad days happen for a reason. Everything depends on how you look at things. Because problems can be turned into opportunities and negative experiences can be used into your advantage. But to be able to do that you need to adopt a growth mindset. Remember that having a bad day does not mean that you have a bad life.
