There is a lot of books, articles, online courses, podcasts, videos and other resources about how practicing mindfulness can help you to improve your life and boost your wellbeing and happiness. But is there any dark side of practicing Mindfulness? Can Mindfulness become a trap? Yes, of course it can. That’s why it is so important to understand this whole concept of being mindful and living in the present moment before you strat practicing mindful meditations and other exercises. “Being mindful” means embracing perfectly imperfect experience of living here and now .
Making mistakes it’s essential part of learning process. But to be able to learn your life lesson first you need to admit that you’ve made a mistake and figure out what this situation tells you about the person you are and how you can use this particular mistake into your advantage. This post explain why we shouldn’t see our mistakes as failures and how we can grow from these wrong decisions and evolve into the best version of ourselves.
Learn to acknowledge and accept your feelings. Always give yourself permission to feel exactly how you feel in a certain moment. Don’t try to change your state of mind. Trust your gut. Live in the present moment. Be mindful. Work on positive self-talk. And learn how to practice radical acceptance. Accept your reality. And remember that transformation is always preceded by a moment of acceptance. Radical acceptance.
So, what we can really do to prevent the escalation of anxiety and panic? Well, we can practice mindfulness, learn how to detect an exact moment when we are in risk and then immediately implement our healthy strategy to calm anxious mind to avoid consequences and repercussions of a major anxiety attack.
