Set A Specific & Sustainable Rhythm Of Your Daily Life

and become insanely motivated

The Power Of Habit

If you ask me, I think that MOTIVATION is a habit. It’s a regular practice based on intentional action. It is a reason for acting in a certain way in order to produce a specific desired outcome. In other words, you choose to act in a particular way because you know that it will help you to get closer to your goals. So as you can see motivation is not something you FIND, as many people tend to believe but something you CREATE on purpose. Then you perfect IT by constant repetition, like any other habit until IT becomes an automatic behavior. Creating motivation is like mastering a skill - it takes patience, dedication, and discipline BUT it is also incredibly rewarding. Because once you achieve mastery you will make motivation flow effortlessly without even knowing that. How amazing is that!? Just imagine waking up feeling incredibly motivated to reach your goals without even trying to sabotage your success with all of these completely nonsensical self-limiting beliefs. That would be great, right? I’ll tell you what’s even better: you can easily achieve this state with a certain amount of patience, practice, and perseverance!

Still don’t know how to manage distractions, overcome procrastination, reach flow and become insanely motivated to create real results? Don’t worry. All you need is the willingness to become highly motivated and develop an insatiable hunger for success! If you have this then you’re ready. So let’s dive in!

The Secret Of Highly Motivated People

Highly motivated people know that motivation is created intentionally and deliberately through actions, action sequences, and OTHER habits. There is nothing accidental or surprising about this process. There is no magical way you become insanely motivated just by thinking intensely about it. You need to take action that will trigger your motivation. And then once you become motivated to work towards your goals you need to fuel your motivation and keep the fire burning on the journey to your dreams. Why? well, because motivation is NOT constant. You need to take action, then another action and then…

I’m sure you’re starting to see a pattern here…

Those “motivation fueling” actions, action sequences, and simple habits will help you to set a specific and sustainable rhythm of your daily life. And once you define the rhythm of your daily life you will no longer wait for motivation to strike and inspire you to start your new projects.

In other words, if you want to be highly motivated you need to be active mentally and physically instead of waiting for something or someone to motivate you.

So what are those motivations fueling actions? Let’s find out!

12 Simple Habits of Highly Motivated People

1. Plan In Advance

If you want to feel inspired, motivated and energized in the morning plan your day the night before. Don’t rely on your morning sleepy mood to guide you because the chances of you feeling insanely motivated and ready to smash your day without a plan are relatively low. Unless you are extremely good at improvisation and embracing the morning chaos. Although, technically, a good improvisation requires some preparation, fluency, and knowledge. So whether you prefer to have everything planned out or you just go with the (morning) flow you will have to have some sort of plan to guide your day otherwise you will be wasting your time and energy on unimportant tasks and unnecessary decisions. Whereas, an effective plan will help you to determine both the direction and time of the day. So as you can see, with a little planning, you will be able to design your own perfect day for productivity, creativity, and motivation. So every single evening take some time to create your schedule and make a powerful to-do list that will help you get through the next day in a productive and exciting way! Remember to:

  1. Plan Your Day According to 3 x 8h rule (8h of work, 8h of productive “me time”, 8h of quality rest. Split your day into 3 parts and you will create a sacred equilibrium, a perfect balance of your mind, body, and spirit.
  2. Write efficient To-Do List with tasks and activities you know you can get down on that day
  3. Set 3 MITS - the most important tasks (get them knocked out in the early morning, as soon as you can when your mind is fresh)
  4. Set SMART Goals & Deadlines

Key Phrases:

Single-tasking

The Pareto Principle

Everything is important, not everything is urgent!

2. Wake Up Early

Most highly motivated, productive and successful entrepreneurs start their day at 6 am or even earlier because it gives them enough time to perform their powerful morning routine, revise their to-do list and drink their coffee in peace instead of doing this on the run. I don’t know about you but I really like to get up early and have this extra time for my energy-boosting habits, morning self-care routine and my powerful morning ritual that set my mood for a positive day even if I wake up on the wrong side of the bed. Of course, if you are a night owl that prefers stay awake long after darkness falls instead of waking up at dawn, waking up early in the morning may not be the easiest thing to do BUT it’s definitely doable! Just start going to bed at a reasonable hour and set your alarm an hour or even two hours before you’re supposed to go somewhere in the morning. Give yourself this extra time to perform your positive morning rituals, create motivation, boost your productivity levels and set the tone for a positive day.

3. Get Active

Have you ever noticed how good even a little physical activity makes you feel? It’s because during exercise our body releases endorphins and increases dopamine and serotonin levels. This magic trio made up of your natural happy chemicals is all you need to activate your happiness mode. Furthermore, regular workouts boost your energy levels, reduces stress, increases self-esteem and keep you in good shape. Need I say more? So instead of looking for an excuse to skip your workout think how great you will feel afterwards and hit the gym, go for a walk or do a full-body workout at home. Working out does not mean that you need a gym membership and lift heavy weights and build muscles. Being active means taking care of your mental and physical health. So stop looking for excuses for not working out and make the simple decision to be more active on a daily basis! Trust me, you won’t regret it! Furthermore, I am sure that you will be pleasantly surprised how even a 15-minute workout can make you feel healthier, happier, more energized and motivated to work hard towards your goals! So get active and boost your mental performance!

Key Phrases:

Exercise your way to success

Boost your mental performance

4. Take Powerful Breaks

Fitting relaxation in a busy schedule can be quite challenging but it’s crucial for maintaining your physical health and emotional wellbeing. Unfortunately, the type of culture we live in does not make it easier for us. Since early childhood, we are trained to be extremely productive and if we’re not we are considered lazy, inactive and of course procrastinators. So often we forget that in order to be productive, inspired and motivated we need breaks to rest relax and recharge batteries. An overcrowded schedule and never-ending to-do list it’s the ultimate recipe for failure in both professional and personal life. So when creating your schedule make sure you will have time to relax. Or better yet, schedule downtime. Trust me even a 5-minute break at work can make you happier, more focused, more productive and motivated to work towards your goals! So learn to take short breaks to ease your body and reboot your brain. And remember to work smarter not harder!

5. Enter Flow State

Look around yourself, find a source of external inspiration, get inspired and start working towards your goals. Achieve this incredibly heavy sense of concentration, increase your sense of clarity and tap into your motivation through intentional action. Stop thinking and start doing. Seriously put yourself in motion and start producing real results. Overthinking and overanalyzing not only prevents you from taking action but also makes every situation much more complex than it ever needs to be. If you want to achieve your goals you need to stop creating worst-case scenarios and start taking action towards your goals! Seriously stop thinking and start doing! Stop negotiating with yourself, instead, eliminate all external and internal distractions, put the right kind of music (I usually listen to mindfulness music for deep focus and concentration with binaural beats) and start working towards achieving your goals. Enter into that hypnotic state where creativity flows effortlessly and start achieving your goals!

Powerful Quote

A Flow State “It is when we act freely, for the sake of the action itself rather than for ulterior motives, that we learn to become more than what we were. When we choose a goal and invest ourselves in it to the limits of concentration, whatever we do will be enjoyable. And once we have tasted this joy, we will redouble our efforts to taste it again. This is the way the self grows.”

6. Take Cold Showers

Another thing that I’ve recently implemented in my daily routine to make my motivation flow effortlessly is a cold shower. And you know what? It’s incredible how a quick ice-cold shower can boost your energy levels, lower stress, relieve fatigue, increase mental alertness and activate your happy hormones. Let me tell you something, if you haven’t, you should definitely try it out ASAP! So, get into your first freezing cold shower and try to resist even 5 seconds. Breathe through an initial shock of cold water, train yourself to resist and use the physical discomfort to increase your mental toughness. A quick ice-cold shower it’s a life-changer!

Key Phrases:

Breathe through discomfort

Positive shock for the system

Build your mental toughness

7. Step Outside Your Comfort Zone

Step outside your comfort zone and try things that make you feel uncomfortable. Put yourself in challenging (but healthy) situations, breathe through discomfort just like you’re doing this during an ice-cold shower, balance it out and feel this incredibly powerful adrenaline rush.

Are you scared? You’re not sure what is going to happen? You’re unsure whether or not you’re going to succeed? That’s awesome! Stepping outside of your comfort zone is all about trying new things, challenging yourself, facing your fear and eventually growing as a person. All these self-limiting beliefs that sabotage your progress are only in your head. And you know what? You can change them but you need to step outside your comfort zone first. So think about the things you really want to achieve but you’re afraid of even trying, write them down and plan step by step how you’re going to do them and challenge yourself. Make yourself uncomfortable, feel the adrenaline moving through your veins, feel anxious a little bit, challenge yourself, fail (optional) and succeed (inevitable)! All highly motivated, productive and successful people are those who venture deep outside their comfort zone. So stop running away from the discomfort instead embrace it. Seriously, push through discomfort, own that discomfort, embrace that discomfort and then… succeed. Remember yourself that every time you’re scared and uncomfortable you’re growing as a person. The magic of creativity happens outside of your comfort zone.

Key Phrases:

Adrenaline Boost

Embracing Discomfort

Magnetic Feeling

Feeling Proud of Yourself

Personal Growth

8. Treat Yourself

Make sure you find the time in your schedule to do the things that make you feel genuinely happy. it can be anything but it has to be something that you love doing. So grab your favorite coffee drink, treat yourself with your favorite snack, do a face mask, have a relaxing bubble bath, have a good laugh, take yourself on a solo date, watch an interesting and uplifting content. Yes, we’re talking about life’s little pleasures that makes us feel good about ourselves. So do something that feeds your soul and makes you feel alive every single day! Engage in an activity that inspires you, motivates you and makes you feel good about yourself. Because life is too short to not enjoy simple pleasures. Besides, if you feel good about yourself the chances that you’re going to perform better in the office or in school are extremely high. So go and treat yourself no matter what! Because you deserve this!

Key Phrases:

Self-Love

Self-Kindness

Self-Compassion

Gratitude

Solo Date

Be your BFF

9. Connect With Your Tribe

If you want to be happy, fulfilled and motivated in life you need to surround yourself with people who inspire you, push you to become a better person, give you hope and empower you to succeed and avoid those individuals who make you feel bad about yourself, discredit your ambitions and drill holes under your boat to get it leaking. Life is too short and too beautiful to waste your time for people who not only don’t add value to your life but also make you feel miserable. Seriously, what’s the point to dedicate your precious time to those who are whining, complaining, bitching and moaning ALL THE TIME?! Don’t participate in the drama they create. You don’t need their negative energy in your life! Remember that a toxic environment has a direct impact on your health, wellbeing, and motivation. So choose your friends wisely. Associate with people of good quality that will be your biggest Cheerleaders and avoid so-called Fearleaders. Find your tribe, your people with whom you connect, share your joys and sorrow, celebrate your achievements and grow. Listen to your intuition and invite in your life only those who give you a feeling of belonging, offer emotional support, bring great joy and positively impact your life.

  1. Make time with Family and Loved Ones count - reconnect with your loved ones whenever you can and squeeze from these special moments as much positive energy as you can.
  2. Spend your free time in a good Company (Spending time in a good company is an incredible opportunity to create memorable experiences, connect with others, boost happy hormones, and just relax.)
  3. Remove Toxic People from your life, they have a problem for every solution
  4. Establish and maintain healthy Boundaries with others
  5. If you have to interact with a negative person use the Gray Rock Method (The Gray Rock Method is essentially about coming across as a boring, uninterested, indifferent and monotonous person. It is intended to make a toxic person lose attraction to you.)
  6. Improve your relationship with Yourself!

Key Phrases:

Your Vibe Attracts Your Tribe

10. Practice Positive Mental Attitude

Everything begins with a positive mental attitude. If you want to reach your full potential and achieve something great you need to put yourself in a positive headspace first. But there is one thing you should know first, maintaining a positive attitude does not mean having a giant smile plastered on your face and radiate positive energy and extremely good vibes ALL the time. Staying positive is more about surrounding yourself with positive energy, believe in yourself because you are capable of anything you just have to trust in your abilities, skills, and talents. How can you achieve this state? Well, the answer is always the same - By practice! Everyone is different and has a different background. Life isn’t always fair and that’s the fact. We do not start in the same place BUT no matter how many obstacles you find on our path, how many times you fall (literally and figuratively) you can ALWAYS achieve your goals. So don’t give up when things don’t go as you planned. And most importantly don’t beat yourself up when you don’t do it as well as you “should.” The core components of the success (in my opinion) are conscientiousness, focus, patience, persistence, hard work and being true to yourself. So stop comparing yourself to others because you DON’T lack anything! Everything you need you to have inside of you.

Key Phrases:

Positive Mental Attitude

The Growth Mindset

You Never Fail Until You Give Up

Personal Success

11. Detox Your Mind

Sometimes we don’t even realize how much intrusive thoughts, difficult emotions, and stressful situations that happen during the day affect our life. We just keep through our endless to-do list trying to be productive and self-motivated completely ignoring our mental wellbeing. But the truth is that your mental clutter negatively affects your life, health, mood, and motivation. You cannot be healthy, productive, motivated and focus on your goals if you feel emotionally drained and worn-out. If you want to transform your life, tap into your full potential and gain the most of this crazy journey we call life you need to focus on your mental wellbeing. You need to detox your mind, clean your mental home and free your mental space for a healthier and more positive life. It’s time for a serious Mental house-keeping. Here are some great ways you can easily do that:

  1. Get rid of your Mental Clutter (journal, engage in physical activity, meditate)
  2. Eliminate Unnecessary Non-Critical Decisions that are not only time-consuming but also irrelevant for your success
  3. Overcome Intrusive Thought here
  4. Get rid of unnecessary Mind Collections that only cloud your mind
  5. Challenge your Negative Thinking and Negative Self-Talk (journal, try the mirror technique)
  6. Try Guided Unwinding Mindfulness Meditation (guided meditations are fun and easy to follow!)
  7. Use Positive Affirmations & Mantras to boost your self-esteem and confidence (make writing positive affirmations your daily habit!)
  8. Incorporate a Digital Detox into your daily routine - switch off and live in the moment!
  9. Talk to someone you can trust about your struggles (Talking to someone about your struggles is a great opportunity to release stress and tension from your body, refresh your thinking, gain a new point of view and in consequence look at your problem from a completely different perspective.)

Key Phrases:

Digital Detox

Clean out your mind clutter

Free up your mental space

Be open-minded

Stop labeling yourself and others

Unwind, Relax & Recharge

12. Acknowledge & Celebrate Your Accomplishments

Most of my friends when asked about celebrating their accomplishments admit that they rarely, if ever do it. They set a goal, put all their effort to achieve it and once they achieve it they immediately move forward to another goal completely forgetting about celebrating their success. That’s insane! People should always celebrate their achievements, even small victories count and should be acknowledged. It’s the best part of the whole personal-development and self-improvement process. Not to mention that it is also a great opportunity to appreciate oneself! Without it what’s the point of working so hard for success? Besides, the efforts of tracking even small achievements every single day enhance your motivation, boost your self-esteem and drastically increase your life satisfaction. In other words, celebrating your accomplishments is crucial for your long-term success, happiness, and self-fulfillment.

So next time when you accomplish a goal, stop for a moment, acknowledge your success and celebrate it! Be proud of your big achievements and small victories. Be proud of yourself and appreciate yourself more. And if you need some inspiration, here are my favorite ways to celebrate achievements:

  1. Start a Success Journal
  2. Share the news with family and friends
  3. Write a list of everything you learned from this experience
  4. Reflect on the path you took
  5. Treat yourself!
  6. Take a small break!
  7. Tell yourself out loud how proud of yourself you are!

Key Phrases:

Self-Reflection

Self-Awareness

Progress

Self-fulfillment

Big Achievements

Small Victories

Celebrate Your Success
