8 Lists To Organized (and Positive) Life
If you are an avid reader of my blog you probably know by now that I am an obsessive list-maker. And I am proud of that! Not only because this simple habit helps me to organize my life for success but also because it gives me this healthy sense of control that I need in order to make progress towards achieving my goals. In other words, I use lists as a tool to organize my thoughts, gain clarity if my vision and create motivation to move closer to the version of myself that I want to be.
People think that organizing their life is difficult and time-consuming. Well, it can be if you don’t know how to go about it. But if you have a good strategy you can organize your entire life in ONE day, or even faster. And to help you with that today I am sharing my OWN strategy that I used to prioritize, organize and simplify my daily life. I hope you like it!
Life is simpler than you think. You just need to stop overcomplicating it.
1. To-Do List
The secret to living an organized life is to plan everything in advance. This simple strategy will give you comfort, peace of mind and a sense that you’re focusing on the right things instead of falling into the trap of urgency. Not to mention that having it all planned out means is a synonym of being less stressed, more productive and mentally prepared for what is about to come, or more precisely, what you’re about to accomplish.
Most of us wish that there were more than 24 hours a day. But if there were 30 or even more hours a day we would plan, schedule and organize even more activities. The truth is, a longer day wouldn’t make you any more productive and any less anxious. Your daily success depends on a solid routine and your commitment to your goals. So instead of wallowing in sadness about not having enough time to accomplish everything you want, create a prioritized, powerful and exciting to-do list.
Success is determined by your daily agenda. So plan methodically, organize properly and schedule effectively your days in advance so that you know what you need to accomplish and in what order.

2. Not-To-Do List
Got a to-do list? Great! Now it’s time to make a not-do list so that you can focus on what’s truly important and adds value to your life. Because let’s face it, if your schedule is jam-packed you will not have enough time to get everything done that you’ve planned, anyway. That’s why instead of desperately trying to finish your never-ending to-do list while sacrificing your rest, free time, social life and most likely also your sleep hours you should create NOT-TO-DO LIST. This way you will have more time for the essential things that actually add real value to your life. It’s time to get rid of the abstraction of urgency and focus on what’s truly important in your life.
- Make a list of all your to-do’s, goals and responsibilities for the next month
- Decide what 3 goals/items have the biggest impact on your life (these are you top 3 priorities for the next month)
- Plan the next action steps to move closer to your most important goals/items and add them to your schedule and calendar
- Identify what things on your to-do list you don’t have to do by yourself and you could easily delegate them to others
- Identify what items on your to-do list are unimportant and don’t bring ANY value to your life and eliminate (or postpone) them
- Items that you decided to delegate and eliminate from your NOT-TO-DO list
3. List Of Goals
Next list you should create to organize and level up your life is a list of your short-term and long-term goals. Writing down clearly defined goals will not only increase the odds to achieve them tenfold but also it will create motivation to keep moving in the right direction no matter what obstacles are thrown in your way.
So take a couple of minutes, think about what do you want to achieve, how you’re going to do that and set deadlines. Write everything down. Don’t just assume that having your goals in mind is enough. Because until your goals are written down they exist ONLY as an abstract idea that you have in mind. Give your goals life.
Goals make life more challenging, meaningful and more satisfying. They fuel your ambition, boost your motivation and define your personal values. Not only because they give you a long-term vision but also because they help you to reach your full potential and pull your resources to make the most of your life. So use the power that you have to improve the quality of your life. Use your goals as a tool to fulfil your destiny and go after the life you want.
declutter your space

Life Declutter List
We tend to think about clutter in terms of physical space completely forgetting about our internal world. But clutter has many forms and dimensions. Clutter is what makes you feel overwhelmed, confused and exhausted. Clutter is what robs you of your energy, focus and time. Clutter is what blocks you from succeeding. Because whether you want to make yourself a cup of coffee and there’s literally no clean cup or you want to move on with your life but you’re stuck in past relationships, clutter prevents you from making a decision.
The clock of your life never stops. It’s always clicking. Live will not wait for you to be ready so don’t waste your potential on things that don’t matter. Don’t waste your time on people that radiate negative energy. Protect your attention from distractions. Reduce mental and physical clutter that steals your focus, time and life. Create a list of unnecessary things, non-critical decisions and people that don’t add any value to your life and get rid of them. Let go of what blocks your progress and make space for the new. Your successful tomorrow starts today.
5. Enjoyment List
“I don’t live to work; I work to live.” Neither do I. That is why at the beginning of every month I create my enjoyment plan. Literally, I make a list of fun, creative and pleasurable things I want to do in my free time. In this way, I can be sure that I will not forget to take care of my own wellbeing. Besides the work-part of myself is much more productive and effective when its happy, satisfied and in high spirits. Not to mention that planning and organizing my days off gives me the confidence that I will fill my spare time with meaningful and exciting things. In other words, making a good enjoyment plan is my strategy to cultivate happiness.
So if you usually wait for another weekend to come to plan something amazing there’s a good chance you will be overly tired with work to unlock your full potential. A much better solution is to plan for your enjoyment in advance. That is why I highly recommend you create your list of fun and exciting activities that will help you to cultivate happiness and boost your wellbeing in your spare time.

6. Healthy Eating List
Starting eating healthier tomorrow? Reducing your sugar intake after the cookie you’re eating right now? Trying to save money but eating UberEats it’s just too convenient? Do you really think indecisiveness will make you succeed in life? Well, I highly doubt it.
The truth is, tomorrow is not the option. If you want to level up your nutrition you need to start today. Because the decisions you make today determine your success tomorrow. What you eat today determines your tomorrow’s mood, energy levels and digestion. It’s that serious. So if you think that eating McDonald’s today is a good idea, go for it. But if you’re trying to optimize your health, boost your energy levels and get rid of morning brain fog you should probably eat something healthy.
Don’t wait for tomorrow. Start today. Make a decision today. Being indecisive will cost you more and more money, time and energy. And these resources are limited. Don’t forget about that. So if you want to level up your nutrition start with your next meal.
Eating healthy is easier than you think. All you need to do is to create a clean eating and grocery shopping list. This simple act will motivate you to create and maintain healthy eating habits, save money on grocery shopping and save your time on meal preparation. Not to mention that you will have some deliciously healthy snacks at your hand every time you need it. Fuel your body with healthy food and you will become unstoppable.

Self-Care Activities List
The last list I highly recommend you do is a list of self-care and self-love activities that you would like to engage in within your free time. I will even go further by saying that you should not only create a list of fun, creative and exciting self-care activities but you should also schedule them. Yeap, that’s right. Because schedule means getting things done. Otherwise, it is highly probable that you will, not find the time to take care of yourself.
Most of us know that we should prioritize self-care but when it comes to practicing it suddenly it turns out that we are too busy. Our schedules are insanely overbooked with things that were due yesterday. Our brains are incredibly overloaded by insane amounts of information that is impossible to memorize or even process. Our priorities are messed up because there’s always something most important to do than taking care of yourself, usually, it’s work.
But the truth is you cannot be highly productive, effective, and focused on your goals if you neglect your health and wellness. If you want to live a positive, meaningful, and fulfilling life you need to make your well-being your top priority.
Self-care is about developing healthy and positive habits that will improve the quality of your life. So we’re talking here about those activities that not only boost your health and wellbeing but also make you feel good about yourself. Of course, activities such as taking a bubble bath or getting a face mask are also included but it’s not just that. A healthy, positive and powerful self-care routine should address 8 areas of your life which are:
- Physical
- Emotional
- Spiritual
- Social
- Financial
- Professional
- Personal
- Environmental

8. Self-Improvement List
Today’s society places a lot of emphasis on formal education, which, in and of itself, is a great thing. At the same time, however, we should not underestimate the importance of self-education. Because while earning a degree will certainly advance your career, you should not forget that formal education is strictly limited to specific knowledge, skills and abilities. As for the autodidactism, the benefits go beyond career advancement.
Learning doesn’t end when your formal education does – actually, it’s exactly when true learning, developing your skills and improving your personality begins. This process is called-personal growth and it has nothing to do with school.
Personal growth is a lifelong process of transforming your life, improving yourself and evolving as a person in order to reach your full potential so much needed for success. So if you want to succeed and find happiness in your success you need to dedicate your life to constant self-improvement and personal development. It’s time to commit to conscious growth and the easiest way to do that is to create a list of specific skills, abilities and knowledge you want to develop in the near future.
